This looks just like a model I purchased from harbor freight a couple years ago. It does its job for the homeowner and occasional projects, but any 'pro' is not going to be happy. Seasoned dry wood is largely a no-go as it struggles with it. Recent example I ran into that it has trouble slicing thru: year-old+ dry port orford cedar.
$20 off coupon code 280884 stacks with the sale price to get this for $79.99
Junkity Junk. Interesting that it's listed as a deal at full price. These used to sell for $89.

I'll bite for $100. Probably not the best but fine for most casual users. Thanks! Any recommendations on blades?

On Amazon it says the saw is battery powered. Anyone know for sure? On the Northern Tool site the voltage is blank.

Excellent deal on a sliding miter, not sure about quality however. Might be a razorblade throwaway in which case its really not worth it.

For $80 why not.

All review images and YouTube videos show a chord attached to the saw.

This would be a good blade to start. Works great for me. Well it's 1/2 price of the saw, but probably lightyears better than the one it comes with.

Yep, looks identical to the one I got from HF about ten years ago. If I remember correctly, it was the middle-tier house brand saw at HF at the time. There were two different SKUs that they listed interchangeably back then, one that got fantastic reviews (I made sure to get that one) and another that just seemed okay.

Probably just fine for most people, assuming a decent blade is used. It ain't fancy or the most precise, but I've built cabinets and tables and whatnot using mine to cut stock to length and for the odd miter. I certainly got my money's worth. My only complaint is that the included dust bag is a joke - hook a shop vac to it at the very least, or you'll have sawdust everywhere.
