Very good deal. I almost bought this as bare tool 3 days ago for $62 on ebaa. I upgraded to the Makita XDT14Z tool only for $89 with 10% bak. Don't need batteries, but I would have gone for this. EDIT: Got one...

Yes, it is a good deal. I am already in ryobi ecosystem but if had to start fresh, I would buy this in a heartbeat. Most of the contractors I see use this. Tried and true

I have the Kobalt 24v brushless drill and driver. I've never used the driver, not really sure of the difference between the two other than torque haha but I'm tempted to buy this because I know it's a great brand, yet I don't know if I'd ever use it, unless it can be used with a drill brush (for when I detail), or the occasional times I need to drill a hole before a screw to mount a Eufy 2c camera (need to get around to that this week).

For the price, buy two of these. Batteries alone are $119 for 1 or $199 for 2 at HD. I avoid non-Makita batteries due to reports of poor life. A good price for 4a and 5a Makita brand batts on ebaa is around $75.
