With much less room for cooling, the CPU will be throttled no matter which one you choose. The i5-1140G7 here has a Passmark of 10075 with a 15w TDP. The i5-1145G7 has a 10213 Passmark but a 28w TDP. I'd rather have the i5-1140G7.
If you check the comparison reviews of these Intel tablets, the CPU chosen does not directly reflect in performance because each brand has different cooling systems and different design priorities.
Looks like a good deal to me. Nicer in a lot of ways than the Lenovo X12. The keyboard runs another $120 or so on eBay.
LMAO two dislikes without a response? Prove the seller isn't a dumbass, because they are selling garbage. From 98.x feedback to 97.7 since the last I left my feedback.
Keep trying hold onto those refunds newtechie, I WILL get every cent back you imbecile. Learn how businesses work
There's indeed no need to put a relatively power hungry CPU in a tablet form factor as it would do more harm than good. With the CPU in this, multicore performance is the only thing that's affected, the single-core performance is still great and on par with other Tiger Lake-U CPUs.
This performs better than the X12 as well as the SP 7+, except for in the graphics department in which it's just ever so slightly behind.
Also, this has an internal fan unlike the SP 7+ (it only has it in the i7 SKU) and it does run loud if put under heavy load.
The less power hungry CPU also does wonders for the battery life. Despite having a 40Whr battery, which seems low on paper, it has a battery runtime of around 10-11 hours which is significantly higher than the SP 7+.

SSD is upgradable but is of the relatively uncommon M.2 2230 form factor.
