I don't recommend buying from Amazon seller "Industrial Tools" they shipped an item to me via OnTrac and it has been over 16 days...no delivery as of yet. Item said it would ship within 7 days. Not sure who is at fault in that problem.

Item shows as "ships from Amazon". That's good enough for me, I own a lot of Makita LXT tools but I'm not sure what a grease gun is used for or why I would need it. I guess that means I probably shouldn't buy it........

Damn, I paid $231 in may... Gun works fine for my needs. Fulfilled by Amazon? so I'd trust that. Wish I was still in the return window, It'd be nice to save $100.

I got mine yesterday. The thing is built like a tank. I haven't been able to use it yet because I'm out of grease. It's a bit heavier than I was expecting but it has a strap to help carry it around. The hose is long, and I think it uses bigger fittings than normal. I bought one of those quick release fittings (still waiting on its delivery), but I'm thinking it isn't going to fit.

This thing is made for mechanical and small engine grease points. They're surprisingly expensive for what it's sole purpose is for in my opinion and how often an average person will use it for. If you work often on engines, suspension related applications, this is a good tool to have.

Greasing mechanical parts with fittings. Most newer vehicles don't have grease points as everything is sealed. ... however heavy machinery, farm equipment and some riding lawnmowers have them. Also other pieces of mechanical equipment. This is ideal for farmers, heavy equipment owners and mechanics. .... outside of that, your average home owner can get away with a pump grease gun.

I paid $219 last year. Get a locking coupler made in US or Australia to make it more of a one handed experience. You will thank yourself. I grease my dozer and mini-X more often now.

Exactly. I am what's probably considered an advanced DIY-er. Do all mechanical work on my cars (camshaft, clutch, main bearings, brakes, suspension, you name it), motorcycle, and everything else in the house and often for friends/family.

Big-shot DIYer that I am vomit , I bought a manual pump grease gun several years ago and... have used it maybe 3 times. laugh out loud

This is one of those tools that when you need it, you'll have no doubt you need it. If you're thinking about it, just move along. :-)

Just two nipples. However, I recently picked up the DeWalt and I have 12 to 14 zerk fittings on my tractor, 5 on my zero turn mower, and a handful more on various equipment. I don't really need it, but I do tend to grease more with it, so it's worth it to me.
