I got a VR solely for for this reason

Thrill of the fight is a must buy. Way better than Creed and possibly the best workout

Les Mills Body combat is also a must buy. Just as intense as thrill of the fight but alot more structured. Note that it will go subscription based in the future however the base game will still have 30+ workouts and you will not be forced into a subscription unlike supernatural.

Beat saber/ragnarock/pistol whip are all great rhythm games that on high difficulties def give a workout, just not to the level of the 2 above. Still great buys as since they are so fun you are more inclined to play.

Don't forget to turn off "Dead Eye" (Pistol Whip) or whatever the automatic targeting system is called. A lot of people think they are Neo from the Matrix with the default settings (which includes auto-targeting).

I have Thrill of the Fight, and Ragnarock, and intend to play them, but my backlog is endless (both regular, and VR).

Out of the games on sale on this list definitely get Blaston. A ton of fun and good at burning calories.

Pinball FX2 [fanatical.com] for $5 is a pretty good one in my opinion. I would have jumped at that one, but I already bought it using my referral credits long ago.

It's crossbuy, so the Rift version [oculus.com] is free too if you buy the Quest version. It's pretty neat playing the Pinball in VR.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm new to quest and vr. I already own fx3 pinball and a lot of tables on steam. If I buy fx2 vr, is there a way to link my steam account so I can play those tables on the quest, or do I have to buy them all again?

Generally speaking- you can't expect things on Steam VR or Oculus/Quest/Meta to unlock anything on the other platform.

It sucks. You can always play with the Quest connected to Steam on your PC.

As far as Steam vs Steam VR- some titles allow you to play in VR or flat with the same steam purchase... others have a unique VR version that require a separate purchase.

I have no idea the answer to the OP's question, but I think it would heavily depend on the developer. My inclination is to answer "no", but he might want to look at the developer's website.

exercising/sweating with a VR headset on? ugh, gross. I'm a fan of VR, but seriously, go outside and walk/jog/bike. Or treadmill/cycle inside if you must. Let's not make Wall-E a documentary.

FYI, strength training >> cardio

TDs incoming, but it doesn't make me wrong.
As a health/strength coach, I'm all for anything that gets people moving. Going outside is great, but not many people are biking in the winter, or when it's dark, etc. And some people just prefer gamifying their activities and that's fine too.

Strength training and cardio do not accomplish the same goals. Ideally, everyone would do both. One being better than the other is definitely a matter of opinion, unless you're talking about something specific like bone density, insulin sensitivity, heart health…

I do all my cardio in VR. Supernatural is great, but is subscription based (I think it's worth it, but just warning you). Ragnarock and Beat Saber are both excellent workouts at higher skill levels (Ragnarock is a little better IMHO). You can even mix in Thrill of the Fight or Creed if you like. Cardio in VR is amazing, but you WILL want a silicone cover for the facepad.
Did not know ragnarock was a workout or I would have bought it a long time ago

Doc says I need more exercise, so I picked up Thrill of the Fight and Blaston. Thrill is a WORKOUT! First 2 attempts I couldn't make it past the second round - needed to learn to pace myself. Blaston is so much fun! I had previously gotten Pistol Whip - I was sore for two days after playing the first time. I also use the free Moon Rider on the web rather than Beat Saber.
