Got a suggestion for a better one? I've got a few records I've been collecting as keepsakes of video games I've absolutely loved. Haven't setup a way to play them yet.
If you care about your records and are serious about playing them, ATLP120 is a good starting point. $280-300. If you want to make a bigger investment, they have mid-range options, so does U-turn, Fluance, Rega, Pro-Ject. Don't forget setup, varies depending on what you want, i.e. speakers, phono stage, receiver, etc. My setup is simple with powered speakers and built-in phono stage, and preamp in my ATLP120. I highly suggest looking into setups, especially if you want to customize your setup to your liking.

The next step up from here will require you to have powered speakers at the least alongside the turntable. Let me ask: what speakers do you use with your console and tv?
I did the same thing during COVID. This is what I got. I love the fact that it's Bluetooth. Have been very happy with it. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony...Id=63365
This. My wife had one of those cheap Crosleys and it sounded horrible, even through our stereo system. She kept buying more and more records so I bought the AT to protect them and stop listening to the terrible sound that was coming out of that thing. Plugged it in and it's night and day. Took that Crosley and quickly threw it in the trash 🤣
