Not really a great deal. Between the overheating, weak wireless connectivity, and poor battery life I don't think it's worth this price. Google Tensor and Samsung Modem seems to work terribly together. You might as well get the 6a and save money for the same experience.

I have a regular pixel 6. The fingerprint reader sucks. And the connectivity issues are definitely there. But that doesn't happen enough for me to get two aggravated. But the fingerprint reader is just terrible.

I have one and this is the first phone that I've wanted to throw out a window.

I've had the regular 6 since release and have had no major issues. If you value Google's features, for this price I'd say it's worth it.

I've got no idea what the connectivity issues people keep mentioning are. I've had no issues (I use AT&T).

My one complaint is that my 6 gets warm while charging.

Maybe its just me, but I've never really cared for wireless charging. Bought one for my Galaxy and never use it. If I need to use my phone while its charging, I don't have the ability to with wireless.

Wireless charging caused the phone battery overheating. It caused battery bloating,

Really. Signal dropouts with the modem, finger print sensor is hit or miss, snails pace charging. Updates takes 2+ hours. Ghost touches. Works more like a budget phone rather than a flagship. I'm hoping they fix everything with the 7 so I can dump this POS.

Pop the back off and de-gas the battery. It's a simple process. Just don't breathe the deadly fumes.

Dropped mine yesterday face down on pebble driveway and cracked the screen on my P6P, wanted to trade it in for 7 but now i don't know what to do in terms of fixing it or rolling the dice with trade-in value with a small crack in the screen. Never cracked a screen before with a case but pebble driveways are unforgiving!
Just cracked mine too. Haven't broken a phone in 10 years. These curved screen phones aren't worth it; No side protection

The screen on Pixel 6 Pro is super prone to breaking specifically. When you tap on it it feels hollow and unlike any other screen that I've used on a phone. They claim it's gorilla glass victus, but it feels like plastic. I've read it's because of how Google applied the screen to make it easier for repairability. I'll probably be thumbed down for this post like the other guy in the thread that said the same thing, but it's true.

Did you see the difference in specs? They aren't the same.
Of course I did, all I am saying is that this price drop might cannibalize 6a sales & make people who already got 6a want t return them. Most of them are likely still within the return window.

Yeah, I was just watching the Jerry rig. Everything YouTube video about it.

Not sure about the claim with glass, actually glass feels like it would shatter easier. In my case the "glass" screen protector did not break, just the phones, glass screen and part of the display underneath. Very frustrating.

I need to find a case that protects the sides better

Coming from a pixel 3 xl the pixel 6's finger print reader seems like a downgrade
It's idiotic that they and other companies removed the fingerprint reader from the back like on your 3 XL. It was a genius idea but Google being Google had to fix what wasn't broke and try and fail at Face ID and an under screen reader because Apple and Samsung live rent free in Google's head.

I remember there were reports of p6p screen breaking without even an impact so you are not wrong. There is definitely something wrong with the build quality of the phone. I got the regular 6 from T-Mobile and got rid of it. It's bulky and had too many bugs plus the slow finger print scanner. This phone was not ready to be a flagship.

Same here, I have never come so close to throwing a phone across the room than with this phone. The finger print reader is infuriating!
These are the kind of issues that are a non-issue, I understand it works like shit. Well then just DON'T use it? Fingerprint readers are the stupidest form of security anyway, anyone can access your device as long as they have access to your finger. A SO, the police, random stranger who sees you fall asleep on the bus, anyone.

Use a password or pattern lock, not that hard. Now issues with connectivity, that's bullshit connectivity is crucial to a phone.
