Yes. I did a comparison with five restaurants in my local area using $5 off $10 and I discovered that taking the inflated prices into account the 50% discount actually worked out on average to a 20% discount. Now a 20% discount is still better than the 10% discount they run on their gift cards. It isn't anything to get too excited about, however..

At $5 off $15 one might as well buy the gift cards at 10% off with the advantage one can use them whenever they want.

Not all restaurants are smart enough to adjust theirs. One of my local taco shops' pricing is the same as in person.

It can be tested. Start an order for today, then add the code and change to a future date in checkout. The code is removed and shown as "expired." Change back to today, then add the code again.

Sunday codes are good, but you can't schedule ahead. It'd be nice if they came out earlier. Grubhub didn't tweet this until 3 PM EST. It's not bad for the West Coast, but not enough advance for the East Coast.

It is weird. My local Chipotle adjusts prices up for Grubhub but does not do it for Doordash. I have no idea why.So when Doordash runs a $5 off no minimum I get a burrito for $4. The same thing with Grubhub $5 off $10 cost me double, $8.

What I have learned is that these deals are a YMMV. There are some real bargains to be had if you play the system.
