I'm seeing $1760 for EDU on the 65.
Try clearing your cache, and then lower
pricing may appear, and — this may sound odd — sign in, and out a few times, and eventually the lower price may appear. In addition, I've noticed that sometimes the price that appears in the cart can differ from that which appears when shopping; thus, put the item in the cart. Let us know if any of this works. Good luck!!! I still see $1649.99 as I'm typing this.

Does anyone know, if you pick this up from Best Buy and there is some defect, will Best Buy replace it in-store, or do you have to go through the whole return/re-order process with Samsung?

Watch the reviews on youtube. Samsung nerfs the brightness. You probably don't ever want to update that firmware.
They didn't so much nerf the brightness as they improved accuracy. If all you care about is brightness and not picture quality, then buy an LED instead of OLED and set it to Vivid mode.

You can just return it to best buy if it's within the rerun period. Says so on my email receipt

Box isn't needed but they'll give you an easier time if you have it

If you return a defective though (broken or warped screen, bad pixels), will they give you a new one?

Picked up a good copy of the S95B yesterday from Best Buy with this $1650 deal. No odd warps or bad pixels etc. Build of the TV is excessively thin, definately take care when mounting not to bend or twist. Once mounted, good to go and the unusual thin build decision is out of mind.
The OS on the TV is pretty awful. Coming from a Q9FN, LG CX, Hisense, LG C1 this TV's built in OS is just simply poorly designed. Thankfully using a harmony remote, Apple and Nvidia unit to avoid needing to use the Tzein OS.
Picture is excellent, like a light cannon with the default firmware. This unit has 1098 and will not be touching it until the dust settles on the firmware development. Great out of the box.
The ATSC 3.0 tuner is working well too.
Thanks to OP for identifying this great deal.
How did you pick it up from Best Buy for this price? They were happy to price match a EPP price?

It's an option when you check out on Samsung website.

According to the measurements in nits pre and post firmware versions they did.

Was just trying to point that out for the person I commented on in case they weren't aware of the loss in nits by updating the firmware or for anyone else with the tv or considering it.

I'm on the fence for this reason. For me it may be an LG C1 or depending on the hisense reviews....(U8H).

Brightness does impact image quality, just compare the LG C1/C2 to this tv pre firmware upgrade (in my opinion anyways, image quality is subjective).

Brightness went down because it was wildly inaccurate. Brightness matters in certain circumstances but image quality (what the image SHOULD look like) is quite objective based on measurable data. If what looks good to you is just "bright" then OLED isn't for you. You'll be happier with an LED.

Yup - thanks for the thorough review. I won't be plugging mine to wifi or ethernet either. Lots of complaints about it on reddit.

Let me know if this is a cynical enough comment - why don't you call, and, whoever, is assigned to service your call, ask them what is in the notes for you :-) Wouldn't you like to confirm that the information in the notes is what you expect before you accept the delivery???
Pays to be cynical...quite literally!

After you raised this concern, I called Samsung again, explained the situation to the new rep and gave them the ticket number to verify the details. But this time, the rep put me on hold, and then came back to tell me and that can process the price difference refund right away! JACKPOT! It'll reflect in 3-5 business days.

So thank you bostongarden...stay cynical worship

Not even gonna click that link because I guarantee you it is from Quantum TV, the worst reviewer in the TV community 😂
