Anyone know if their educator discount applies to retired educators as well or only ones currently teaching?
As long as you have .edu email address, you should be good.

i just have to say as a MULTI-YEAR user of the samsung EPP program its a JOKE. total waste of time. I got a 'decent' deal on a dryer like 5 years ago.

NOTHING EVER SINCE. this program is sad at best.

So what you're really saying is you've made up your mind as to why you won't purchase it and are thus heavily biased.

That's typical for any 30 day purchase with most companies. Amazon forces you to return and reorder. Hit up Samsung and they should price adjust.
FYI.. Samsung is a HARD 15 days from delivery date to price match. No exceptions! So if one has purchased this already, track the days and price. 16 days or later, you aren't getting the price match. You CAN get your two week return date extended a week easy though.

on paper its better its the next gen tech but its 1st Gen which will likely have bugs. I dont like it due issues with bent panels and just general problems. C2 is more evolved if price being same I would take C2.
If this guys experience with premature burn in is any indication, you might be onto something.

Got my 65 S95B for $1,400 due to Samsung bundle pricing mistake a few months ago ($1,000 after selling discounted laptop and tablet). Sold my 75 QN90A (which was a great TV also) as I didn't need it anymore the S95B is so awesome. First OLED tv and would never go back.

Does anyone know if we are able to purchase a BestBuy warranty when picking up the tv at BestBuy?
I don't believe you can. It's basically as if you were picking up from a warehouse, just that warehouse is a Best Buy.

(someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Well, it'd be horribly burnt in, so it would actually be free by 2028.

Sorry for non deal related rant.... But as consumers...I can't help but feel that we've enabled manufactures to not give us a deal that includes durability as a criteria.

When I read comments in these threads of a TV maybe lasting 5 years or needing extended warranty....It's odd to me that as consumers.... durability has slipped as a priority to so many people and generations that we enable manufactures to progress towards the "you will own nothing and be happy", planned obsolescence and ever increasing inflation culture.

I remember a time where all tube TVs lasted 10 years easy, that was the expectation. And... Only remotes would fail.

Plasmas first introduced shorter lifespan because of burn in and power requirements where capacitors that were mounted improperly or cheap

Phones, computers, tvs and even cars are going towards this route of shortened lifespan and we only have ourselves to blame as we have emphasized consumerism and need to have "better technology" at higher frequency.
