my guess is a minority of people join this way
that rank and file employees don't see it much,
despite having computers set up to handle it.
btw, on the costco deal i spent $65/yr no tax
and redeemed both $40 coupon codes,
so i'm $15 ahead on that deal
despite already cancelling auto-renewal.
My membership has only expired since late April. I used a new phone number and a new email with the same street address.

it's a good idea to keep "costco" in your alerts on SD
if you want to catch the next membership promotion.
costco itself does not market for them.
new question for current Sam's club members;
when does a person's membership year end ?
when does your year end? at costco they give you the full month
you joined, so if you join month day 1, it's like getting 13 months.
so if you join sept 1st 2022 your good through sept 30th 2023 but
if you joined sept 30 2022 your membership still end sept 30th 2023.
does it work the same way at Sam's? or go 365 days from joining.
so if i join sept 1st 2022 my membership ends august 31 2023.
I'm asking in order to know when i should activate that groupon;
anytime soon, or wait till Sept 1st (as i would if it was like costco).
