I use LTE
Regular or Classic? With LTE, what's your battery life? Also for comparison, does any Apple watch fare better?

Not sure why you're being downvoted for reminding people the LTE model suffers from horrible battery life + overheating issues. Maybe people thought you were bashing the Watch 4 itself?

Anyways, anyone wanting one of these should consider the LTE model overheats and drains battery life like crazy. Just a quick search on the 99k member r/galaxywatch community on Reddit yields plenty of overheating + battery drain complains as recent as a few weeks ago;
https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/search/?q=LTE&restrict_sr=1&sr_nsfw= [reddit.com]

I wanted an LTE model as well, but decided to pass on it and got the standard Bluetooth model after seeing all the complaints. What ended up sealing the deal was the new Watch 5 has the exact same CPU/RAM hardware as the Watch 4, so not only will it have the same performance, it'll likely have the same overheating / battery drain problems on the LTE version.

Oh, and the bluetooth only 44mm model is on Ebay open-box for $149 USD. I pulled the trigger on recommendation of another commenter that has bought multiple items from that seller and had a positive experience.

Hope this helps someone πŸ‘

Can you just turn off LTE functions, then it should have no battery issues?

If Samsung doesn't do something to get the Wireless Carriers to support their watches they won't be selling anything.
All Samsung LTE watches can be activated on AT&T, T-mobile and Verizon... so what exactly do you mean?

I had the LTE version of this watch. It was amazingly bad. Even though I only used it on Wi-Fi/BT. After trying everything I could think of I stumbled on some known issues online that people were having. This is a software thing that had no fix. Do some research.

Same model with the same settings but Non LTE last me 2 days easy.

Doesn't help. The battery drain is unreal.

I have the watch 4 (non LTE) and I get 2 days out of mine and it works great. i recommend the ebay seller previously posted as thats who i bought mine from. $125 with ebay code no longer valid. looked brand new.. It's a decent watch but I do expect the prices to drop and great deals to be found now that the Watch 5 is coming out this month

The problem with T-Mobile/Verizon/AT&T is cost. If you want a so-called "watch" plan, they seem to require you to have a regular voice phone plan before you can tack on a smart watch plan for $10/month. That's $120 per year just for the watch plan, plus you need to have your regular phone service through them.

I use Mint for my phone, which is $15/month. Other MVNO's are even cheaper.

So, do the Galaxy 4 or 5 work with something like a Red Pocket or Tracfone $30/year plan that provides like 200MB/month of data? That's all I really need for a smart watch plan.

[Not buying due to the battery issues on LTE, but still interested in learning about watches with workable plans]
