I make a habit of checking out the clearance end cap at Home Depot every time I go there. It is usually near the hardware section at each Home Depot. Ask the guy in the tool corral where it is. Every store should have one.

I got the cosmetically blemished circular saw already for $99 way back when it was an FP deal. But I didn't have the belt sander. So I picked that up.

$85 for the circular saw and $70 for the belt sander. YMMV.

Thanks OP, just picked up the belt sander I've been wanting for a while. I had to find it in the upper shelves after they told me they didn't have any.
Btw, portable band saw was on clearance for $99, half off.

Yeap, sometimes these things aren't put into the clearance end cap and are stored in the shelves above in the tool corral. If your online search says they have multiple in stock, but they aren't in the clearance end cap, put in the sweat and start looking for them above in the storage racks. Sometimes they won't be near the other Ridgid stuff. They just need to find a place where there is empty storage space to keep them.

I like ridgid stuff, but this one is pure trash. was getting stuck on cutting 3/4" plywood. with a 9AH octane battery. so disappointed. busted out the flex volt Sawzall and nothing I mean nothing could stop that thing. even a blacked warped dull blade was cutting piles of this stuff and this piece o shite couldn't even cut more than 5 inches before dying!!! .

Too bad the safety on that circular saw is absolutely horrific. If you are trying to cut anything aside from a sheet of plywood on a level surface, forget about it. I found myself getting tied in knots just to get that switch activated.
so then im not alone. I was pretty upset it kept stopping I'm like cmon now I'm not even pushing and its cutting out!. I think you are being a little too generous for even plywood. I want to say this saw is perfect for balsa wood and that's about it

Thanks a bunch, I scored the belt sander. Another tool to add in my ridgid collection.

Have you tried out the belt sander?
I'm hesitant to buy since all the reviews seem to point on horrible battery life and to get a corded instead.
I already have an orbital and sheet sander, so I'm not sure if it's worth getting the belt

Same question as I asked another poster:

Seems to be fine. All relative of course. It is a substantially powerful tool. Very heavy. I would assume it is going to use up a lot of charge.

Besides, it's 70 bucks and most who have invested in Ridgid cordless products have multiple batteries.

Found a few of the belt sanders on the shelf at my HD. They still had a sticker for $99 but it ranged up for $70. There was a spot in their Ridgid tool display for the Octane angle grinder marked down to $65, but I didn't see any left.
