Price new is $129 at both Sam's Club and Walmart. So, refurb from Woot is about half price. https://home.woot.com/offers/ninj...cd_deal_12

If you're interested in the Ninja CM300, Woot has it refurbed for $59.99. [woot.com]

A CNET review gave it a 7.4 out of 10. Here are the highlights of the review:
Quote :
https://www.cnet.com/reviews/ninj...em-review/

THE GOOD
The Ninja Hot and Cold Brewed System brews lots of tasty drip fast. It brews in multiple sizes. It has a milk frother for latte-style drinks. It uses a separate filter for tea. It's compact and attractive.

THE BAD
It brews a little hot and a touch bitter. Its cold brew mode lacks flavor and strength. There's no manual setting for custom brews.

THE BOTTOM LINE
If you love lattes and solid drip, the Ninja Cold Brewed System is worth the price.
The Ninja Hot & Iced Coffee Maker brews everything from a single serve cup to a travel mug to a carafe—no pods required. Plus, enjoy classic, rich, and over ice brews, now on your countertop.

I prefer the metal thermal carafes to the glass ones. The thermal carafes don't have a heat pad that can burn the coffee, I like them also because I can brew a pot and take it to my office and have hot coffee all morning and into the afternoon.

As for Ninja coffee makers, I had the very first version of this, while I loved it it had its problems with leaking and not brewing full pots after a while. Reading online this seems to be a common occurrence back then, I don't hear as much about those issues anymore so I am guessing they corrected those issues. My first ninja was a glass carafe as well which I did not like as much as the metal.

At this price I am a little tempted even if it is refurbished. Keep in mind this model does not have a frother is that matters to you.

I ran this water amount through the Ninja system, but that caused it to emit a low water warning before it completed. However, the brewer made full carafes (48.2 ounces, 1.4 L) in 8 minutes, 9 seconds. Neither the Moccamaster nor Connoisseur can make that much drip at once.

So in the market for this, but can't do refurbished for my coffee apparatus, and have no idea if metal carafe works better than glass ones.

Decent deal otherwise.

Eyeing this. Anyone have experience? We have a keurig duo that doesn't get very hot and doesn't make the best single cups of coffee. How are the singles cups with this? Does the hot water touch plastic?

Perfect for my uses; don't drink a lot of coffee anymore and will be nice to have for guests. Thanks!

I have the older Ninja coffee system new, not refurb).
Love it over the Keurig (had 2 of those).

Just buy paper filters (or use the metal filter) to make your coffee.
I like it strong, so for me it takes 3 small scoops (scooper provided).

Solid build compared to other brands.

I am buying this one for my son's apartment.
He uses mine all the time for INSTANT HOT WATER for his tea, etc.
Instead of buying a kettle for the stove, this will be great!

Good when it works, but after about 9 months I had nothing but headaches. Keurig K Duo has treated me well for close to 2 years now.

Just something to consider: if you have hard water like I did, calcium build up will do a number to the internals.
