For starters, these are smoothies made mostly from fruit and milk (cow's, almond, or oat milk). They have a variety of choices including more health-conscious ones that aren't loaded with added sugar.

Second, this study you've linked is very specifically about cola-based soft drinks, something Smoothie King does not sell, so it's entirely irrelevant. You shoulda just posted something about sugary diets killing people.

Third- sucralose is entirely safe. I can't speak for aspartame or others, but sucralose (what normal Splenda is) has been studied extensively and is perfectly fine for human consumption with no ill effects unless it's cooked at high temps... which again is entirely irrelevant in a smoothie.

Sugar can be bad, that's cool, I don't think this is news to anyone... But don't come in here trying to fear monger when it's not warranted and people are just sharing a good deal, it's really unnecessary and out of place.
When I get Smoothie King or Tropical Smoothie I usually sub Splenda ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also this isn't really the place to plant your soapbox...
Depends which category you are looking at.

All have 0 added sugar. And for the higher ones, don't see it being an issue if someone wants a treat once in awhile.

a 20oz smoothie , smallest size, can have as much as 89 grams of sugar with over 57g of added. That's an insane amount when a whole day intake, recommended by American Heart Association amount for an adult male is 37.5g . We all crave for sugar but get it from fruits and not from commercial drinks where you have melted sugar with water. Very irresponsible for SD to post such an unhealthy product

Consider that one 12-ounce can of soda contains 8 teaspoons (32 grams) of added sugar...So a "healthy drink" advertised by SD (for the smallest size) can have as much sugar as 3 soda cans (Coke, Pepsi etc)

Depends which category you are looking at.

Artificial sweetners are worse than real sugar.. It's like smoking menthol because has less nicotine

Lol are you really linking an animal study and making a blanket statement applying it to people? It's good you found a peer reviewed paper but the gap from preclinical model to humans is huge. Nobody would have cancer anymore if all the mouse models of cancer applied to people
