Slickdeals makes money by auto-converting all links posted by users into affiliate links. You click a link, it goes to an affiliate/tracking site (sometimes 2 or 3), which forwards to the actual link. If it's a store, that means SD gets commission on anything purchased there by someone clicking that link.

Some of the affiliate sites occasionally go down. Some of them are also a bit shady, so if you're running an ad-blocker or privacy extension, that can also break the links as many of those block these affiliate sites.

Whenever I encounter a problem, I just:

Click reply to the original post to reveal the original link as text (not necessary in this case since it's short). It's the stuff starting with http, ending before [/URL
Manually highlight the text URL
Right-click it
Select Open Link in New Tab.

That will open the link without all the affiliate garbage SD adds.

I buy this to use on the plastic shower curtain so the water won't leak on the edge.

I used these for a few years now and they work great indoors. Have not tried them on outdoor stuff.

People, use these for solar lights that are "light" weight (like deck steps). Don't need to screw them in.

will give this one a shot, I used those round magnets (not via SD sale, just Amazon prices) and the older version of this to hang a surface pro 5 to my fridge door (wooden cover, no metal). worked pretty great so far.

Usually the industrial strength has two sides of hard plastic that interlock and the regular strength one has one side hard plastic one side soft fabric/felt.
Does anyone know which version this is.

I bought this exact velcro before, except in black. Same size (4" x 2"), same 'industrial strength' and same holding power (10lbs). I'm not sure what you are asking but I pulled apart one of the unused pairs and took a picture of it so you can see for yourself:
