Bought this exact model the last time it was posted. Paid about 100 & have no complaints so far. Msrp is a bit optimistic on part of the manufacturer, but this actually was the price these tables were going for in walmart stores. So for 75 bucks, I'd consider this a pretty damn good deal. Durability of the table is solid, no wobbling or creaks once everything is screw in. Tabletop is thick enough to accomodate monitor arms at any point without the table flexing or cracking (have mine positioned at the leftmost corner of table). The finish of the table is a glossy matte, and substitutes very well in place of a mouse pad. Leds and graphics on desk are a bit gimmicky, but if it makes no difference to your preferences, it can add a nice little flair to your low light setup. Table also comes with 2 USB ports positioned on top of the table. These connect directly to your pc via usb cable, and add a bit of convenience.

If they are flimsy and don't hold a lot of weight, what is the value of this sort of desk? Especially at that original price point?

This isn't bad at this price point if anybody's looking at desks like these a couple of things to note are do not get any desks that have a shelf Built-in they are always way too flimsy. Wait for a good deal to pop up for a monitor holder. I got this one and I am so in love with it. https://slickdeals.net/f/15965653-huanuo-dual-monitor-stand-w-adjustable-gas-spring-lcd-arms-for-13-27-monitors-screens-5-newegg-promotional-gift-card-35-free-shipping?v=1&src=SiteSearch

Looks like it's about appropriately priced at $75. Honestly would rather spec an ikea desk using their kitchen countertops and cabinets for not much more or spend the time to build something really nice out of some plywood like I did for my son, but for something quick and easy for a kid seems like an OK option. Do yourself a favor though and look into an ikea battlestation instead

I own another version of this desk by the same company and for the price I paid ($70) I honestly think it was a pretty good deal. Construction is very solid as long as you follow the instructions and make sure to retighten the screws once every 6 months. it's been able to hold up a 25 in and 27 in monitor using a cheap monitor mount clamped to the desk. I'm sure it's using a cheap particle board but it's held up well in my use case. The headphone mount and drink holders are very practical imo.

I'm always afraid that tables will flip over using monitor arms. Will it topple over?
