Costco has the Porter Cable 6-tool combo kit for $149.99. I checked and I couldn't find it on their website so it's probably in-warehouse only pricing.

I'm in Toledo, OH.

I'll just say that I think that Porter-Cable is a dying tool brand. They haven't released a single new tool in ~3 years. This is a great price, and they are decent quality, but I wouldn't expect that it is a kit you can grow with.

They definitely looked like they were being phased out but then out of nowhere this past winter PC became a partner brand for Tractor Supply.

I love TSC, but they don't have a lot of tool shelf space, and about zero web presence. I'd say Porter Cable is in maintenance mode, being generous.

This looks like a good deal, but word on the street is that PC is soon to be gone.

They have not introduced a new tool in years

Do yourself some research before you invest in a possible dead end....

For most people, this kit would be all they need. If you need something more extensive, then you are probably going with the bigger players like DeWalt, Makita, Milwaukee, etc.

If you use any power tool a decent amount I would recommend looking into brushless power tools. Better battery life, better torque, better lifespan on tools. Just a recommendation.

If the tool system does die off, which this one looks like it is, when the tools inevitably break or batteries don't charge, you won't be able to get replacements. This happened to me with the Sears Craftsman C3 power tool set before Stanley Black & Decker bought up the Craftsman brand.

Porter cable is g2g. My impact is still alive after 5 years and many drops and falls. Only duct tape is holding it together and it runs like a champ

I've been running PC tools for like 10 years, I haven't had a single issue with a single tool. Even the batteries don't seem to ever really die. They are also owned by Black and Decker (which is generally shit), but I've been happy with my PC system. I got their newest impact drill and it was a solid upgrade from my old one.

Just a heads up on the performance of PC cordless powertools when compared to all the others. Do they work, yes, PC tools work but almost always at the bottom of the pack. When the comparison tests push the tools to the limits a pattern emerges. If it's gonna fail what fails first are PC, if it's going to overheat PC is what overheats first. PC tools are also on the bottom of the price points (cheapest) so unfortunately corners have to be cut and they have cut corners, too often too many corners. I have several tool brands and am a big proponent of ryobi, but unfortunately my suggestion for PC tools is that they have too many corners cut that compromises functionality, not just performance. Best to spend your hard earned money towards tools that have a better dependability and much, much less failure rate. Buy ryobi if price is higher in your priority list, PC tools will make you regret purchasing it when they burn out well before you expect it to. Look at video reviews/comparisons of PC tools before you buy a particular PC tool.
