I got the 6a for free (Xfinity Mobile) and I wouldn't recommend it. Had to disable 5G to prevent constantly heating up. Wifi-calling doesn't connect automatically without toggling Airplane Mode. Fingerprint scanner is very slow and inconsistent. Battery life just barely makes it through the day. Fast charging is significantly slower than my old Moto G. Google's support answer is to just send you another refurbished model if you have a problem. No way I'd pay $400 for this phone.

By the way guys, this phone also accepts e-sim. So if your issue is with prepaid spotty service, get the phone and add T-Mobile post paid sim for a year. T-Mobile postpaid works in many locations where prepaid doesn't. After a year, maybe just unlock it and add Redpocket GsmA esim

What about existing Mint customers?

Is this an upgrade from the Pixel 5a?

i wonder why it's an issue if it's locked for 12 months when assuming you are going to have a 12 month plan??

unless mint signal is unusable in your area i don't see the issue with having service tied to it when you are going to buy pre paid plan of 12 months with it

What phone did you come from prior to the 6a?

I have the phone and couldn't be happier with it. I don't have a single complaint coming from a Pixel 3a.

fun fact, mint won't let you select among available phone numbers
so it does not surprise me they base a sale on ported in numbers
which is a tactic they hope will encourage you to stay with them
once the year is out - since porting can still be a time sucking pita.

How is the bandwidth/speed on Mint? How is the customer service? I'm currently on Google Fi. These other budget carriers are intriguing.
