OP has posted lowest price ever in all recent posts. even after I posted that it's been lower recently. nobody seems to care and deal goes FP at 15 TU.

Seems people just don't care if it's normal price, poor reviews or FP anymore. probably there is more shilling going on to generate revenue for SD. OP is labeled an "Expert" on groceries. More like an expert in marketing normal or overpriced Happy Belly items as "lowest price ever"

$7 is same price it was a year ago,
lowest was $5.31 in November'21
and that's before any s&s discounts.

SD'ers need to stop calling it a deal
every time some demand destruction
by "recession" retail price gouging
triggers an overstock sale.

Organic does not at all promise the honey's natural characteristics are more intact after processing. Organic is a very misunderstood label used in the fear-mongering way like you just posted to imply it is delivering better food to consumers when that is not the case.

Amazon ships liquids unsecured. You may get predispensed honey.

Thanks. Mixing 3 countries in the product origin is a Red flag to me (pun intended). Red China products managed to sneak in through different means. I am very conscious in avoiding them but they managed to cheat me a couple of times with packages written entirely in Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) or Japanese. Really have to read the fine print. Those people are sneaky.
Super sneaky...

Yep. The top is a weak point and honey is heavy. If someone drops the box on the top, it will break off.

To be clear, "organic" is a government term and no honey produced in the USA is considered organic. However, imported (laundered in some cases) honey can meet the requirements. So you'll see "organic" honey from Brazil, but it might not be from Brazil at all.

Local honey costs the same and is better for your allergies
First off, if you're getting honey from a local source for $3.50/lb, good for you. I sell mine at about $6/lb and quite a few people tell me that's too low, but to me it seems pretty fair.
Second, as a beekeeper with about 40 colonies who sells "local honey", I really wish people would quit with the "it helps your allergies" schtick. There's zero evidence of such things and when I meet beekeepers selling their honey with health claims, they strike me as nothing but hucksters. Honey is great for sore/itchy throats, though, and if that's a symptom then it might absolutely help.
Not a lot different than the bozos claiming all sort of healing from manuka honey.
Honey has some benefits, but be very wary of anyone selling it as some sort of cure-all.

The dilution and laundering of honey is certainly real. Most people wouldn't have any idea and because in the US we have for many many decades been sold blended, homogenized honey we don't really understand the differences that exist and therefore it's easy to have anything sweet and amber colored passed off as honey on the masses.
If you're slopping something sweet on your kid's sandwich or baking with it, this "honey" is going to work just fine for you. If you're doing something a bit more delicate like sweetening tea, considering seeking out someone nearby who sells honey. There's a wide range of honey varieties that you simply cannot find in a store or through most retailers (regardless of what the labels say).

Additionally, "raw" honey carries absolutely no pedigree without knowing the person who put it in the bottle. Most all honey crystalizes over time. Depending on nectar source this could take months or longer. Some crystalizes very very quickly. To make honey more appealing on the shelf, commercial honey (including "raw" honey like this) is absolutely heated and pumped through filters. There's absolute ZERO chance that REAL honey is produced (in three countries), harvested (in three countries), shipped (from two countries), blended, bottled, and put to distribution without the honey being heated and pressure filtered to remove the pollen and solids that make honey crystalize quickly. In short, this "raw honey" is not treated any differently than any other jar of honey on the shelf at Walmart or Costco. And it is of the same dubious origin.

I love to see all the down votes when someone calls out the OP or the product! Just take it, it's prob true! Sorry OP, it is what it is when posting. I support your post, just not the product.

It's funny that we as consumers can't have an option or push back on a product on here.

SD has become a spot for people to bitc* as to why they don't get FP and to make sure everyone's feeling are met.

If people like me do not agree with the product or how it was sourced or over taste/feel/outcome of it, why can't we voice that opinion? SD then punishes us for voicing our option and marks our comment or sends us a note "don't be mean" hahah . And again it's on the product and not political crap either like other threads.

Too many people are sensitive to the down votes and want to be the almighty "SDer".

All BS to me. Lets bring back the old SD before all fake marketing products and SD workers pushing their commission checks.

SMH, it sucks and is a shame!
The old SD has been sold and paid for. I >think< the current owner is Goldman & Sachs, the people who profited from the financial shenanigans leading up to the 2008 collapse and got a bail out.
So there is nothing warm and fuzzy here. The staff promotes whoever pays. And it goes FP. Many sheep users just buy because it is on the FP.
Then a lot of users appear to be really promoters without the staff logo next to the name.
In between you have few "real deals" .

As with many so-called deal posts on here. These debates are fascinating.

Just curious…in what year did SD get sold to new owners? I was not aware of the changeover 😤

Thanks for that, glad someone else sees the BS going on here on SD with items like this.
