No idea how Kenda sport tires perform, but I can vouch for their quality/value off-road.

FWIW, you can get Continentals for about the same price:

...and I trust them more as far as street tires go. German company that has been in business for 150+ years. My go-to for reasonably priced sport touring tires.
But Kenda does a great job at DOT approved enduro tires if you want an emphasis on off-road capability as opposed to longevity.

I typically run the ContiMotion rear and it suits my riding well. 95% commuting and 5% canyon carving at the posted speed limits, and I get a lot of miles with even wear. That was the exact eBay listing I almost purchased, however seller has a feedback score of TWO (2), and I'm a bit suspicious of the origin and date of manufactuer therefore I went with this Kenda tire. Since this is a Kenda street tire, offroad capability isn't really relevant. I figured for $85 it's worth a try. I currently have a Bridgestone S20 EVO and the grip is great but from all the commuting duty the center tread is worn flat. I got a lot of mileage out of them however, about 5000, and I wouldn't mind going with another sport tire.

That was just the first hit that came up on Google Shopping. Wasn't trying to vouch for the seller. Was more vouching for Continental as a great compromise between performance, longevity, and price. It's been my go-to in the past when they go on sale.
As for manufacture date, watch the video I posted above. If stored properly, tires tend to last longer than tire salesmen tell you. And I tend to go through tires fairly quick miles-wise when I do ride (gone down a bit since I had a kid), so I'd have no problems running a 5 year old tire if I'm only going to ride it for a season or two. A garage queen or barely used weekend rider where you're expecting longevity in years over miles is a different story. Same with if you are a track day bruh. But then there's entirely the chance that I've been lucky in the past and I sound like reckless idiot.

Despite my doubts my ply Shinko states Made in Korea however it feels less stable than my Radial Bridgestone. It might be a ply vs Radial difference. Even at $55 2020 price($80 now) I still wouldn't recommend it if you plan on using your bike off the super slabs. Better off finding a Bridgestone or Metzler on sale for $100-$110

A set of front and rear is $150, thats cheaper than a pilot road 4 front tire...

Maybe on a light ST

. No way I'm running these on my St1300 that I've code named Piggy. At 800lbs without rider, I'd burn through these making the price comparison to better tires moot.

I average over 30k a year commuting alone on a bike. I've ran W Spec Angels to Pilots and settle on Battle Axs, so I'm not a tire snob.
A teaching salary doesn't allow anyone to be.
