How do these compare to elac unifis?
Those Elacs are at least one class above these, but that's subjective. Everyone would agree that these are bright speakers while the Elacs are considered warm.

These are not great for studio monitoring, they have a distinct sound that wouldnt translate well to other speakers.

I use the 500m as rears and they are fantastic. There is limited information coming in for rears so it doesn't matter as much. Anyway, they do sound good.

Any good deals on a center to match the 500s?

You're comparing the 530s to a pair of floorstanding though. I'm comparing the 530s to these exact bookshelves. They are not essentially the same. The 530s definitely sound better including for movies. The JBL compression drivers do things these cannot. And the bass on the 530s is better as well. I wanted to like these and probably would have if I didn't have anything else to compare them to.
I stopped putting much emphasis on your post once you mentioned better bass. Anyone buying speakers like this should be running a sub or two and a crossover set to at least 80hz. I will say that sound is subjective and arguing about which sounds better is useless.

I used to have the RP-600's for a short time. I feel like they were way more expensive back then. Must've been all the positive Youtube reviews. I had them for about 3 weeks and sent them back. I felt they were harsh in the highs and muddy in the mids. They were good for movies because there seemed to be a lot of dynamic range with them, but music became fatiguing rather quickly. I replaced them with Elac dbr62's and I've been extremely happy with them. I have had them for over a year now and I am never let down. I have them paired with a 10" jbl sub, but honestly they do pretty well on their own to where I often turn off my sub. They always sound amazing to me and create a faithful reproduction of how the music should sound.

I used to own 530 and 590 and rp500 m . All of them I sold and keep my Elac
UB5. If you have good amp can support 4 Ohms and high current. Elac is way to go. Better imaging and sound stage. It's different class of speakers.

$500 speakers to $2000 speaker not much different but you still can tell .

Elac UB series has more musical sounds.

Klipsh and jbl speaker will amaze you for moments but you listen more and you know something missing. That's why people spend 3000 to 5000 for speakers. Elac give little bit of flavor for those premium speakers sounds.

Thanks. I am running 5 unifis on a denon 4300 along with a sub crossed at 80hz. I use them for tv, movies, and gaming. I don't play them super loud. I've considered getting an outlaw amp to drive the speakers, but wasn't sure how much that would gain me. Thoughts?

I'm only using the RP 600s for rear surrounds. Would I get much benefit from trying to swap in Elacs? I'm about 1/3 split across movies, music, and shows at the moment.
