I prefer to crowd source my reviews and the reviews of these faucets are in the 1000's on HomeDepot.com and are excellent. If leaking was a common problem I believe it would show up there. Also, since a lot of people will be installing these themselves, it is much more likely that a leak is gonna be an issue with the install than with the product. People will always prefer to blame the product than their own ineptitude.

And as a general point, while I agree that you generally get what you pay for, there are some good deals to be had. Some people however cannot distinguish between something that is cheap and something that is good value. If it makes you feel better to pay $200 for a faucet then I would advise you to pay $200 for a faucet because ultimately you need to be happy with your purchases.

Our landlord bought this for us a year ago, well a glacier bay faucet. It worked much better than the faucet that came with the apt unit but we heard a very quiet hissing sound and our entire cabinet was wet one morning. Turns out with use the handle develops an issue where if you don't press down at a certain angle it fails and will begin to leak under the cabinet.

Good thing is he learned from the maintenance guy's rant about buying such a cheap faucet and replaced it with an American Standard for us. So far so good.

I don't think it's worth the gamble saving a few dollars with faucets since we've seen the effects of cost cutting. Buy something reputable is what the maintenance guy told me.

Exactly THIS

I have 3 glacier bay and all 3 failed in different ways over the years. Better to get American Standard or Moen. Spend a little bit more for long term quality and less headache!

There are some bathroom faucets on sale too; anyone have input on these?

Single Handle Low Arc, no model name https://www.homedepot.com/p/Glaci.../304367466
2 Handle High Arc, Sadira https://www.homedepot.com/p/Glaci.../314938223

There's mostly positive reviews on both, but only 30 ratings on the 1st one. The reviews for the 2nd one only date back to April 2021 (newer product?). I saw a thread for a deal on the 2nd one a while ago. At least they both have lifetime warranties.

I imagine the ceramic disc valve and simple construction for the single handle faucet should help with its durability...

I used to manage an apartment complex. We had a contractor come and replace all of the apartments with glacier bay faucets similar to these bit not the same. Most failed within months of installation. Some continued to work fine. Luck of the draw.

I've been look for a new faucet for my mom and I'll pass on this one. If it were my house I would risk it but I don't want to redo it on hers and deal with a potential mess.

The cartridge jam disintegrates. The lever then sticks and is hard to move. Only lasts a few months in light duty use.

This is what all the damn flippers use. Cheap ass glacier bay then upselling by 300k. I am staying far away because when you look at the details, workmanship is also crap. I've found that quality of a renovation generally correlates with the quality of fixtures that are chosen. avoid glacier bay

Cartridge is very common, almost generic. Same cartridge in Pfister faucets.
Pfister in my kitchen now age 14, needed a new cartridge 3 years ago.
BTW, most faucets, including Glacier Bay -last time I checked- have Lifetime guarantee, that includes the cartridge.

Hmm let me see. We just installed $30k cabinets, mind you our kitchen is small. $10k countertops. Yep, gonna skip this glacier bay faucet, lol. We had something similar to this before we renovated though. A throw away Amazon faucet, which I did end up tossing. Worked well, just fugly.

Seems odd since it has a lifetime warranty you could have gotten a replacement for free

No need to buy them as spares. Just make a routine of pulling the screen off the faucet every three months and soak it in white vinegar and baking soda for a hour or two.. Then rinse it out and re-install. As for the cartridge itself, Just call glacier bay on the warranty and they will send a new cartridge in about 5-7 days.

I have this faucet and it has a warranty that is actually pretty solid. You just need to save your receipt and email or call in with a request for a replacement part and they will send it to you. I was sent a replacement spray head assembly and told I should throw out the old one. My spray selector button got sticky over time and every so often I had to take the head off and soak it in water and clean it with an old toothbrush. Eventually I contacted the warranty folks and they were easy going and sent a replacement part right away.

I have 3 Glacier Bays that I installed on 2004 and not a single problem from any of them.
