How do you know it comes with an Intel Wifi card? I thought the specs said it was a Realtek one (RealTek Wireless RTL8822CE 2x2 AC & Bluetooth 5.0).
When it joined my network, it showed up as an Intel device. Also, in chrome://system under lspci I have: 01:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Device 2723 (rev 1a)

Edit: I just saw that others answered your question first. The Intel module was a pleasant surprise.

here is a tip for you guys that don't know squat about linux.
set up a linux partition linux on the chromebook. (google how to do it, it is only a few optoins under settings) give it 10gigs.

Once you start the terminal type in these commands one a time after each is finished

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libreoffice
sudo apt-get install audacity
sudo apt-get install putty
sudo apt-get install gedit
sudo apt-get install gtkterm
sudo apt-get install kolourpaint
sudo apt-get install gnome-calculator
sudo apt-get install remmina
sudo apt-get install filezilla
sudo apt-get install convertall
sudo apt-get install keepassx
sudo apt-get install gimp
sudo apt-get install cutecom
sudo apt-get install thunderbird
sudo apt-get install yakuake
sudo apt-get install dolphin
sudo apt-get install vlc
sudo apt-get install texmaker
sudo apt-get install mykunzhurts
sudo apt-get install transmission
sudo apt-get install bleachbit
sudo apt-get install rhythmbox

you will now have a bunch of cool linux apps that you can use offline.
this makes it more like a windows style laptop.

you should have 6.5gig free on the main chromeos partition and 3.2gb free in the linux partition after all the app installs
Found the legit Thinkpad enthusiast Smilie I run Mint on my T470, but am likely going to switch to Manjaro soon. Hopefully my 6900 shows up so I can have (yet) another Thinkpad lol

Used them since the old school IBM days. Have owned probably 15 over the years and I've loved them all. There really isn't another choice, IMO. The Trackpoint is so good and they are (still) built like tanks!

Anyone facing keyboard input issues on 6900? My machine has an issue where keys on right side are taking double inputs when i press either one. Happening with keys in a line from top to bottom. Below are the keys that i noticed. Even if i press either one of these - both keys(inputs) shows up.

I do not think it is a software issue.

My 6900 has bent hinge, trackpoint keys are also not stable (often stuck). I am going to return or get a replacement (if it does not take long time).

Anyone has fuzzy screen or blurry screen? I have this issue when I switch between apps or setting screens. It flashes less than 1 second. No issue on the external screen, only has it on the laptop screen.

The trackpoint buttons do work fine if you use them as "intended". Your index fingers control the trackpoint and your thumbs swing down from the space bar to control the trackpoint buttons. All three of my trackpoint buttons get stuck if use the trackpad and then reach up with my index fingers to press them. You either use the trackpoint and its buttons, or trackpad and its button, I think it's more of a bad implementation than a defect.

I already wrote a five page essay on the C13, and only one time did a keystroke registered twice which was the W key, but that could have just been me lol

The trackpoint system seemed janky at first, I've never used it before, but now I'm good at it after using it exclusively for two days lol

Can you show a picture of your bent hinge? Are you the one that also said something about them not being parallel?

Also, thanks for confirming the cheaply designed trackpoint keys. The CS told it was not normal...

That doesn't right at all. You got a unit with defective hinge.

One issue and one question. Issue is either in tablet or laptop placement when laying I bed, the fan/air exhaust/escape (whatever it's called) gets obstructed when I place it down on my stomach. Then it will get hot. If I remove it and hold it up, it gets cool again. How do yall place it when laying in bed and do u notice the exhaust also obstructed on ur body?

I had a Toshiba 10 yrs ago and the air/heat escape was on the right side.

Question. What's the purpose of the orange trackball thingy. Seems the mouse is way more useful and purposeful than the trackball. What am I missing?

So opened mine and it is definitely missing M.2 SSD socket/connector on the motherboard. Though it looks like I should be able to solder in one as long as I can find correct part number/where to buy it.

Anybody figured that by any chance?

Forget about it. You can't even replace a cellphone's broken screen, let known changing soldered parts on a motherboard. You will eventually mess up other parts, and Lenovo will deny your warranty.

My hinges aren't absolutely perfectly straight, but yours are absolutely ridiculous lol

Edit: Actually, my hinges look just like yours in tablet mode, and I don't think that it's a defect, because the hinges are wedge shaped and have a particular rotating mechanism. If They're sturdy and rotate smooth like mine then they're absolutely fine.

Though yours look a little scuffed and there seems to be something sticking out of one...

I don't see how the trackpoint buttons could be fixed without a redesign, but let us know if your replacement doesn't have this issue.

It shouldn't be a problem in full tablet mode, or when the keyboard is facing down on your stomach. Personally, I hold mine like I do regular laptops. The keyboard and screen are off my stomach with just the bottom edge lightly stabbing my chest lol Doesn't weigh that much.

This short video explains how you use the trackpoint.

It always involves more than just soldering on the card slot. There's often a myriad of super small components nearby that are also missing and necessary, and also the BIOS might not be set for it.

Hell, even trying to add a backlit keyboard to a version of the same laptop that doesn't requires soldering and there's no guarantee it will work. I've spent so many hours trying to do these things with various cheap devices, but it's just not worth the trouble.

Great price on this 6900, just a little let down since all the videos i saw showed a 'world facing camera' but these dont have it. Just the normal webcam.
