I have a nice bright green(ish) stuck pixel on mine.

It goes away when I shut and open the chromebook but reappears within a few seconds.

Guess it is going back. It's too obvious, right in the left center.

***Edit*** I could only return. No exchange as they don't have any stock. Supposedly checked with a supervisor and was told they show no additional stock on the way, so a refund was the only option.

My 6900 has hinge issue and I wanted to get replacement, but CS told me it is OOS and there is no way to get it. So I have to return and refund. SAD STORY
Well, I suspect that they had shipped whatever they had in the warehouse (for those that already got the 6900) and are making the remaining 6900 from parts that they already have on hand (sorta like a custom order), since they probably have spare parts laying around. They probably don't have enough for more orders and are saving some parts for repairs I'm guessing.

Just press and hold ALT and use the screen brightness keys!
Thanks A LOT! I've been trying to adjust it - shutting it off actually. I've even searched user manual and didn't find anything. I thought brightness level was fixed. Great to learn of the trick!

a moment of silence for the jacked up screen/hinge crew my problem is very minor compared to yours (some corner shadowing), but i rep'd you both for saving me a chat with the lenovo reps.

edit: your issues may be covered by the warranty, so if you're willing to go the repair route that could be an option.

or you can dim (turn off completely) the screen while playing your youtube clips. thats what i did on my giant asus 17.3 Applause

btw, has anyone tried to increase or replace the asus 17.3 hard drive storage? the thing is so huge. i am sure theres plently of extra room in there to upgrade. 32gb is not enough.

here is a tip for you guys that don't know squat about linux.
set up a linux partition linux on the chromebook. (google how to do it, it is only a few optoins under settings) give it 10gigs.

Once you start the terminal type in these commands one a time after each is finished

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libreoffice
sudo apt-get install audacity
sudo apt-get install putty
sudo apt-get install gedit
sudo apt-get install gtkterm
sudo apt-get install kolourpaint
sudo apt-get install gnome-calculator
sudo apt-get install remmina
sudo apt-get install filezilla
sudo apt-get install convertall
sudo apt-get install keepassx
sudo apt-get install gimp
sudo apt-get install cutecom
sudo apt-get install thunderbird
sudo apt-get install yakuake
sudo apt-get install dolphin
sudo apt-get install vlc
sudo apt-get install texmaker
sudo apt-get install mykunzhurts
sudo apt-get install transmission
sudo apt-get install bleachbit
sudo apt-get install rhythmbox

you will now have a bunch of cool linux apps that you can use offline.
this makes it more like a windows style laptop.

you should have 6.5gig free on the main chromeos partition and 3.2gb free in the linux partition after all the app installs

The regular edition doesn't create an icon for some reason. The enterprise edition does.

does anyone else's unit have a little bit of dimness/shadowing in the upper corners? it's not too bad, but i'm worried my screen might be faulty and the shadowing will get worse over time. currently, it's just noticeable enough to be annoying.

otherwise it's very nice and i'm impressed by the build quality especially. i got the 6800.
All three of the 6900s I bought for my family and I have that tiny sliver of dimness on the top corners.

Actually, this and the shimmer you see at the edges of the display is fairly common for displays with glass touchscreens. My Acer Spin 513 and 514 were exactly the same.

Can anyone please confirm, if the screen is real anti-glare or not. A touch screen is supposed to be of glass material, right? How can a glass surface be anti-glare. Anyone tried to use outside, can you read clearly, and how bad is the reflection? Thanks.
It's glossy but not a mirror so I guess it's a bit anti-glare. You can't see yourself in normal lighting but you can see lights from a window or a door.

I mean the specs say it has an inferior Realtek WiFi card when it actually has an Intel WiFi 6 AX200 card, so it's just another mistake. It's absolutely not anti-glare.
