    I've never understood the fascination of buying these overpriced dishwasher and washing machine tablets. Even when several magazines have published articles stating vinegar and baking soda does better than the tablets, with some tablets not even killing the mold hidden around the machine's seals. Just like many of the other life hacks, I bet sooner or later someone will discover this "hack" and post it on TikTok.

    Edit: Research on how to do this. DO NOT USE VINEGAR WITH DISHWASHING SOAP. Here's a good article on why. https://www.homemadesimple.com/ki...h-vinegar/ Also do not use dish washer cleaning tabs in your washing machine.

    Citric acid is my go-to for cleaning dishwashers and clothes washers. The only trick is that you have to introduce it after the prewash is complete.

    How do you clean all the plumbing and pumps within the machine? Cleaning the grinder, found in many dishwashers, is certainly not a 1 minute job.
