I totally agree, and have no solution. Hence, I'm not buying stuff like this from Amazon. They need to clean up their act. It is not my job to perform quality control and check for fakes.

Can't trust Amazon to sell you a real memory card, I've gotten plenty of 'well priced' fakes...

speed wise it is an overkill, durability wise it is not designed for your case, and you will be on your own luck running it for over a year.

PNY cards have been very good to me. I only trust Samsung and PNY at this point, but that's just me, based on my experience.

Last SD card I bought from Amazon (last month) was shipped and sold by Amazon but it was obviously abused severely before shipping. Total DOA but I was curious is there a way to get good memory cards from Amazon, like if you stick to certain merchants do you get stuff from that actual merchant? I find myself, for certain classes of items, trusting "shipped and sold by Amazon" less and less.

I ran a 32GB (actually was a pny card) for about 6 years until it started to give me some random recording error. Car was driven daily for about 30 mins. It's replaced by a 64GB Samsung card and it been about 3 years now.

Those starter sd card that was included in my dash cam was not Endurance neither.

Those Endurance cards are not much more these days. A Samsung endurance 128GB looks to be $20, if it gives you peace of mind.

Sadly Amazon mixes inventory at the warehouse. So it doesn't even matter what seller you pick. That's why there's so many fakes going around.

Last PNY SD card I ordered lasted less than a week and it was past the return window. So my advice is if you buy one of these is to test it ASAP.
