Just take my money! Ugh. But I really want to watch GoT and Succession. And relive the full Entourage series for the 10th time. With AMEX, I guess it's not so bad. Off to cancel some other subscription we don't use...

My sub runs out next weekend, every time I looked at the yearly price it was $149. I have to wait until my sub actually expires to get the deal?

My half off deal ends Sept 17. Hopefully I'll be able to sign up then with the $25 off Amex offer.
I'm in the same boat...expires on 9/20. Just to get the AMEX $25 (expires 9/15), I'll just start a new HBO account, and be "doubly subscribed" for a week or so...no biggy.

Personally this is not worth it. I love Curb your Enthusiasm so the new season was good. But after that there have only been a few other shows and movies, which makes a year long subscription not worth it. I get the most enjoyment from Hulu of all the streaming services. They seem to regularly add new and interesting content.

I believe most TV providers have a freebie 'sneak peek' of the first 3 episodes of Dragons going on right now and ending 9/10/22. I just got done watching it on Xfinity. It's alright.

Thanks OP! Decent premium service worth having with these discounts with AMEX and a certain CB site that shall not be named.

yes, freeview of HBO and Cinemax on DTV stream. Email said Starz too but not here. I may retrack my Directv Stream rant, it looks like I can use the HBO Max app now with my old log in from AT&T. I'm an old pioneer and posted the original DTV offers, grandfathered with GO BIG. I'm waiting for trial to end on the 10th for preview to end, could be a glitch. So much going on in this streaming topic. Just watched WSU cougs clobber Wis in 4K on my FTV MAX

That's what I did. Don't renew. Once your subscription ends, it'll be on the homepage when you sign in again.

Worth it with Amex $25 offer?
Is that a targeted offer? I don't see it on my list

Anyone receive the $25 credit from American Express yet?

Received the email that acknowledged my use of the promotion but haven't received the credit yet. Other times that I have used the Amex promotions, the cashback showed up right away.

Thanks
Yes, took 4 days after I was charged for the subscription.

This is tempting, but would I be better off subscribing for one month on 2023? I'm mostly interested in watching the Last of Us and House of the Dragon in 4k/hdr. Westworld after season 1 has been rather disappointing, and I watched it from a login from a relative who offered his account. Looking at the backcatalogue of HBO, nothing really stands out as must watch or must pay for content.

Give how aggressively HBO Max is canceling content I'm not sure I want to pay for a year in advance.
Regardless of if the content is there to watch, how many creatives are getting effed by this? I'm done I won't return. I'll go back to pirating their media and I will forever voice my hate for this business whenever mentioned. Good thing I have my Mr. Show DVDs still!

Can the AmEx offer be used on 9/15 or is it expired the day before on 9/14?

Big fan of GOT and would love to watch it for third time.. And also continue the HOTD series in 4K.. Subscribed it despite all the shows getting cancelled. Hopefully some DC movies make up for it in the upcoming year..
