Bought this when a bunch Energizer lights were 50%. This failed after about 3 months. It's definitely too big for a keychain. I kept it on my dog's leash so it was babied but it wasn't abused either

It's not just Energizer. I had similar small flashlights from different brands now, after a few months always the switch became unreliable or failed completely.

I hear you. Try Olight. They make a couple of different keychain lights that are on a different order of quality. I bought one, then a second when my Nitecore Tubes successively failed on my car and motorcycle keychains. The Olights have held up much longer (3 and 4 years respectively, and still going strong).
