I purchased an e-bike from this company. The bike arrived damaged, but joyride sent replacement parts. Unfortunately the battery still did not fit onto the bike. The company then stopped responding to my emails. I now have an expensive nonfunctional e-bike and threw away nearly $1000! I honestly can't even believe it. Personally, I wish I'd gone with another brand.

Seems like a legit company but sounds like bad news if you have a problem they don't want to deal with.

Here's some information on my two ordering experiences to help others out. First I ordered a Juice e-scooter a couple of months ago. (https://corporate.joyridebike.com...-e-scooter) It shipped a couple days after the order was placed and arrived within a week. I had it set up and was out riding the same day it arrived. It has lots of pep and gets up to 18mph in a hurry. On gradual hills I can hold max speed, but on steeper hills it'll drop off a little bit. For where I live, it's certainly no issue. If I hold my speed around 12mph, I think I can get upwards of 25 miles on a charge. If I'm maxing out at 18mph, it's probably just a little under 20 miles. Obviously that varies based on starts/stops, hills, wind, etc. I did take one rear reflector off and added a bike trailer hitch. I now use the scooter to tow my son all around town. He absolutely loves it! And even with the 50+ pounds of trailer+kid, it still holds the max speed at 18mph on flat ground. With the trailer, I'm getting about 15 miles at max speed on a charge. We can still hit 20 miles if we just cruise closer to 12mph. At $360 with free shipping and no tax, I have absolutely zero regrets getting this scooter. I'd encourage anyone to go for it. And it looks beautiful with the wood deck, especially at night with the blue lights glowing underneath.

After getting my scooter, I was so impressed that I ordered the Laguna ST cruiser bike for my wife as a surprise for her birthday. That one came in at $960 with free shipping and no tax. (https://corporate.joyridebike.com.../laguna-st) Just like the scooter, it arrived a week after I placed the order. It took me a couple of hours to finish assembly out of the box. After hopping on for a test ride, I was immediately impressed! I've never been on an e-bike before, but as soon as I started peddling this thing just took off and accelerated straight up to 10mph going up a hill. Depending on the power assist level, it will hold your speed at 10, 12, 15, 18, or 20mph. And if you're especially lazy, you can set the cruise control and not even pedal. So far the longest ride we've done with it was just under 15 miles. By the end, it still showed 80% battery remaining. I did take the bike in for a tune-up as the brakes and shifters needed some small adjustments that I couldn't quite get on my own. The only negative comment the bike shop made was that the disc brakes included were on the cheaper end, but they had nothing else bad to say about it. The technician said he rode it for a couple of miles and it had a really nice smooth ride. He actually seemed a little surprised at how nice it was. I assume that there's a good chance they haven't seen a Hurley bike before. They just recommended upgrading the brakes when the pads wear out. Overall, we were again impressed by the quality of the bike, especially at the price point. My wife absolutely loves riding it and actually wants to go biking now. I'd have no hesitancy in recommending Hurley branded bikes to anyone. The scooter and bike we got are fantastic!

Called the company today since they didn't respond to my email. The rep repeated multiple times that it's not possible that the scooter was used and stated that they only sell new products. He couldn't explain how the dirt/splash marks got there. All he said is that it could have gotten damaged during shipping and that I should email them for a possible warranty replacement. When I said that I already email pictures he said that he wasn't a decision maker so couldn't process a warranty claim.

I'm guessing it's going to be really difficult to return the scooter for a full refund (including return shipping fees which are going to be high given the weight) or receive a warranty replacement. This will probably end up being a credit card dispute. Buyer beware!

Ordered mine at 12pm on the 24th and it was picked up yesterday. I bet they'll get yours pretty soon.

Anyone having problems charging? Only charging 1/4… tried charging twice already. Battery charger stays green and doesn't go red to charge.

Got mine today, looks new but no charger in box. Emailed them to see if I can get a charger for it. Tried riding around, but low battery and not much speed, 6mph or so (I'm also on the higher end of the weight range at 245). Hoping it speeds up when fully charged and that I can get a charger soon.

Got both ofine yesterday and like others they are both clearly used. One was wrapped in plastic but tied the other just had the plastic laid on top of it. Plenty of scratches and dings. Both power on, easy to assemble and I have not charged them yet but will today. An to contact the company today as well about it clearly being used

So what's the consensus on the juice vs the hang. The juice is almost double the cost. I don't think I'd use mine a ton but it would be nice to bring around for short trips when parking is bad.

The Juice seems to be a "better" scooter as long as there are not QC issues lol. It has more speed and a bigger deck, a suspension and a larger battery. All that might matter depending on your body weight and what you plan on doing with it.


If its purely recreational then i'd probably just stick with the cheaper Hang as I've had my scooters sit after the initial honeymoon is gone and just tired of even lugging it around (diff brand).


If you dont use it for commuting and dont charge it often and it just sits you might get battery degradation as well. I've had to read and find a lot of videos to understand how to maintain my GoTrax and how to fix little things here and there and the advertised miles on that have significantly gone down in the last few months from probably 7 down to at most 2.
