After bought 5 diff brands on amazon, max I would pay for solar led light is $1 each.
Let see: water damage, heat damage, trash battery, trash solar panel, trash overall quality.
You should buy your solar lights from Costco. They'll take them back if they don't work. I had similar issues with these cheap Amazon lights.

I have bought 3 different times from Costco and none has any issues until now. In case they do, I have peace of mind
Agreed. Never found a solar light that was worth anything more than free. Just wire LV and be done with the awful looking insanity of terrible solar products.

From the installation video on youtube, think it's the same model.
This guy got it from Biglots for $15/4pcs.
Starts at 5:50, you may have an idea of how bright it will be.

The reviews are confusing. Some people say they are really bright and others say they are very dim. Could there be different versions? The listed spec of "up to 10 lumens" seems pretty dim.
Yeah, 10 lumens isn't going to be good lighting at all. I mean, 10w LV lights are 900 lumens and that is just about what I'd been seeking at night.

Solar simply has an enormous way to go before it is actually useful.

I don't care if there are 117 billion Costco members. The nearest store is still two hours away, charging a membership fee for a website that I can't take reasonable advantage of. Still not a smart move.

And that is our problem……Why???

Looks like the top solar panel only has half of the capacity as compared with this so claimed "new design" with 100 Lumen 9 LED https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08SC49F9P

As long as you invest a dollar or so, I am afraid you will only end up with more trash. My solar motion detecting floodlight from Costco from nearly a decade ago is still going strong. I had to replace the 9 AA rechargeable batteries once.

Problem with these types of lights is the oxidation on the solar panel after a year or so.

Because I was told point blank -- just go to Costco and buy their solar lights? So...you made it your problem?

Actually the person replied to someone else, not you. So it wasn't point blank, and you added yourself to complain about Costco not being near you. But who cares, obviously you are who the most important person on Slickdeals. No Costco deals should ever be posted to honor the great man such as yourself 🤡

The dude was just trying to give his opinion, how would he know there isn't a Costco near you.

I will disagree with you. I've bought different lights by different brands. Yes, a few of them were crappy. But, the rest that I've received are absolutely nice. Battery holds great and the panels are still kicking. Bought one for my parents walkway more than 6 years ago and it still works. Not a single LED is burnt out nor the panel itself has been damaged by the sun.
