The Emperor Uriel Septim VII sends his champion to the province of High Rock to put the king's spirit to rest and ensure that the golem does not fall into the wrong hands.

I can remember trying to (unsuccessfully) play a demo of this via a 3.5 disk on an IBM/2. I was a clueless kid back then but knew just from the cover it would be awesome. Luckily I'd finally get to play an ES with Morrowind on Xbox. Many lost hours since. 😉

Morrowind used to lock up like crazy on Xbox. It was still amazing though.

I traded away my copy of Arena on 3.5" floppies because I was a starving grad student, and since I felt I'd played the game out I figured trading it was a good strategy for getting a new game to play without paying cash. Always regretted it since it turned out to be the first in a long-lived series, and the disks would probably be collectable now. When you have the first game, there's no way to know ahead of time that it's going to be the first in a series, much less how successful the series will be.

Gah. Just checked on eBay and boxed originals of the floppy version (I did have the box) have sold for $200+.

I still have my cd version of arena, and daggerfall. Classics. Daggerfall had an amazing gold foil box that was holographic. Tossed both boxes unfortunately.
