It's the cumulative build up of deposits that 'old' oil leaves behind in your car that's the problem.
Meanwhile the oil that's in your car today could 'Test' just fine. That doesn't mean your pistons rings aren't a ticking time bomb because you went 10K miles between oil changes.
This is about half the price of Kirkland and any other full synthetic oil I can find.
My milk carton has that and I always do it.

If your oil "tests fine" then why would there be a buildup of carbon deposits of "old oil" in your engine clogging it up?
If your engine is burning oil and creating a buildup of deposits then changing the oil more frequently simply won't matter. It's just going to burn that oil and create deposits.
If your oil has a lot of deposits and no longer protects the engine then changing the oil more frequently will be good for your engine.
