I'm confused, deal says it comes with battery but then it also says this in description. The M18 REDLITHIUM battery pack (not included) fits M18 tools, delivering more work per charge and more work over the life of the pack.

So I actually have both and would say this has slightly more power and this is my default for working on cars. I pull out the 650 torque Milwaukee when this one doesn't get it off and use the stubby when I need more space. can't go wrong with a set of all 3 but the main advantage over the stubby is the battery life which is the main reason I got this one.

You can the tool from offerup for $100 and the battery for $50 from several people selling part of the bundles they got from home depot and other places.

Same exact specs as m12 stubby. However with a bigger HO battery like a 6.0, 8.0 or 12.0 you will see a slight improvement, as someone else mentioned. But again spec wise, its the same. I prefer the m12 as i cann get in smaller spots due to batter and handle.

I also have high torque, the whole Milwaukee family of impacts and I concur what you said. But some may like stubby more vs compact m18 and vice versa. Set of 3 is probably 90%+ of people would ever need.

This deal is for the bare tool with a bonus free battery.

The description you quoted is for the bare tool, which typically doesn't come with a charger or battery. In this deal, they throw in a battery for free and simply neglected to update that part of the description.

My m12 stubby can't even break a lug nut or a caliper bolt, that is why I got it for… I'm pretty disappointed , now it's just sitting collecting dust on the shelve … the m18 , I'm sure it's just a bit more powerful but not worth it

Damn, just need one more - a mid torque - to finish my set. I have the 1/2" m18 fuel with 1200 lbs of torque and m12 stubby 3/8" with 250 lbs of torque
