Not bad, but I'm just having a hard time giving up my OLD Vise Grips, and I love the newer Milwaukee. That little flat base on the bolt that you can stick a screwdriver through and torque the jaws to crush carbon into mini black holes... ughhh.. it spoils me. Lol.

But, I'm in for 1... I'll try it out. If I don't like it, I won't misuse it, so hopefully the next person can save $5 more buying my "Like New". (I'll leave a note in it for them. Lol.)

Are the teeth and the steel quality so much better to justify the price? For the Cobras I would say yes, but for locking pliers?

Pay the extra bucks and get the American made Malco Eagle Grips. They're indestructible.

Project Farms tested Knipex, which was not good.

I've been wrenching out 80 yr old galvanized water lines with it and it holds up great.

That is a good tool, though, I haven't seen one with a jaw like the Knipex. This is thing is an aggressive beast.

He didn't test this pair. I'm a plumbing and electrical contractor. These work.

I'd pay the $9 more and get the Malco Eagle Grip

I love my Knipex tools, but the jaws on these have worn really quickly.

Look how bad the reviews are on Amazon.

Look how a nearly identical model did below average (or dead last) in every single test in the Project Farm shootout:

You're a "pro"? Hopefully a pro could tell the difference between Jaw styles. The Malco has a traditional rounded and or flat style in their offerings. This pair is like "Cobra" Knipex with a "vise grip", also they have styles with a crescent style flat jaw. Did Project Farm test those? Totally different than the Malco. I know I've gripped into 3/4" galvanized steel water lines then put a breaker bar on these and wrenched a pipe out.

Buddy, don't shoot the messenger.

I have this exact pair, and the teeth wore down in only a few months. Now I only use them for welding.

I love Knipex tools, except their locking pliers. It's just not their strongest suit.

(and yes, I'm a "pro" because I use my tools professionally)

This is a water pump jaw style, meant for wrenching pipes, with metals typically softer than its jaws. The Malco is a straight jaw style, more durable? in your experience it sounds it works better for you. This is more of a plumber specific style. I'm declining your advice and bringing to light the differences between the two. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach, so I strongly disagree with what you've said.
