Have a similar boat. Took it to the beach. It was able to handle 20 Asian kids jumping in and out and climbing back on for 6 hours. Didn't lose air while handling crashing waves by beach. So 6 man boat is the same as 20 Asian kids boat.

I picked one up when it was $149. I saw the price drop at $99 and had the price adjusted. A few things that sold me on this:
1. Costco's warranty/return policy
2. Rod holders for fishing
3. Can add motor for faster lake travel

Just picked one up, assembled and conducted sea trials in the pool. Worth every penny of $100.

Just so you know I attempted to register a intex like this, they gave a hull number but in Florida they want a hand signed sale form and they wouldn't register it. I called the company but it was during Covid I couldn't get anyone in person. You have to register to use any type of motor unless on private lake only

Called the store in WA and was told they have one display in stock and want $240???
I saw this one in stock few weeks back at the same costco at $190 so they just increased the price?

Are you on the Intex Excursion FB group? Plenty of people in there from FL with the Excursion have theirs registered. I guess it just depends who you get as well as the county you're in.
