Tactical is used in the light's name because the shroud has a castle shaped tip, that can be used to strike something, if people didn't know. That design is in most "tactical" flashlights like Surefire, Streamlight and Olights.

I can't wait to be tactical in my yard while resisting light splashes. IPX4, baby! There's a reasonable chance it might survive a shower. Maybe.

Unless you want to be constantly replacing sets of AA batteries (AA is not good for supporting such high lumens for long), get yourself an 18650 light with a rechargable battery, 3300mAh or better. And look for IPX6/7.

I guess this is okay to stuff in a drawer for emergencies. Although tbh 4x non-rechargable batteries are just more waste to dispose of and the limited reviews are complaining about how loose the focus ring is.

I guess you don't HAVE to use Energizer AA batteries. Some NiMH rechargeables like Eneloop would work too...

Not saying this is a good light at all...

For those of us that have been buying the recharge version of all of these, do you have any experience with the battery swelling and leaking inside the unit?

Also the tent fan was not a good deal if you don't live in a tent. I tried using it to cool a transfer device and it was not usable. The built in stand is small.

I'll wait for another deal that includes lithium ion batteries inside.
I got the other 2 previous deals and they are well worth the money!

Great flashlight!! Batteries last a long time. No recharging is good during a power outage, too! I have a battery powered one and a rechargeable one, too.

Rechargeable 3000mAh, water-proof - $13.19 for a 2-pack. Works out to ~ $6.56 for each (assuming you can use a 2-pack).

Can you use the fan one as a light or fan separately, or does it turn both on or off at the same time? Can you use it while it's plugged in?
