Exactly the same here.. 55H8G for me. Hisense doesn't even send a technician even if you pay for it.
Luckily my AMEX gave me a full refund under extended warranty

Similar to an IPS panel so this tv should have wide viewing angles but mediocre contrast levels. Best suited to rooms with some lights on.

I ordered one. My mother is in the hospital and has been for the last week. Who knows when she will get out, there's a chance I might be able to get this set up for her before she comes home. I think I will just surprise her. Don't know if I will be able to get a better deal on a 75" this Black Friday but don't really care. All I know is I am DONE WITH HISENSE

Stop the FOMO had a video from 2021 comparing the X80J to the flagship TVs. He had no problem recommending the 50" for $700, and this was in June 2021. He compared it to the Samsung QN90A and the Sony A90J. I think being able to get the 75" for $630 is a no-brainer, especially if it's just being used for SDR content. Granted, HDR performance leaves some to be desired and it doesn't have local dimming. But it's a $630 75" and according to Stop the FOMO it needs no calibration right out of the box.
