Worked for me.
Made a dummy transaction and the it applies discount.
The code then sticks there so you don't need to remember and is get applied when you do actual purchase in future.

It let me go through the process of adding my card, but won't let me apply the code. It keeps telling me that that code doesn't apply to my purchase.

But I've verified it's sold by Amazon. Wtf…
