You can buy the canister on Amazon to make it bagless but it costs $65. Depending on your needs it may not be worth it. In my case I can buy many years worth of bags at that price point.

I don't think the water base on the s7 max is worth that extra cost. Having to refill the vacuum with water is a nice reminder to clean the mop. It's also not leaving dirty water sitting around and it's just so easy to add more water on the vacuum itself.
Also people say the dirty water bin starts to stink and needs to be cleaned regularly. I wonder how soon. Is the cleaning bin routine just an as frequent replacement for cleaning mop and refilling water when not having it?
