I think the Gopro.com deal is still better at this point, but this is good if you don't care about the gopro subscription. If you're still going to get the sub and want the dual batteries, then it's still cheaper to get the gopro.com deal and buy the batteries separately...feel free to double check me.
each battery is $20 direct from Gopro. They even have the enduro batteries on sale for $20 commonly that have increased capacity in cold weater eg. skiing. I got 1. Gopro subscription is way better than a dual charger solely for the no ? aked retrun policy + unlimited storage cloud capacity.
Those posting about deal from GoPro saying it's cheaper: it's not.
Adding one extra battery brings it to 382.97
Costco will give you the dual charger
GoPro will not give you dual charger but will give you the subscription
Is the overheating issue resolved?

Overheating is not really resolved...their firmware helped but to get extended video, u have to scale down your resolution, FPS, and turn everything like GPS, WIFI, and image stabilization down or off. GoPro is made for bursts of videos...doesnt do well for longer form videos where you're leaving it on for long periods.

I'm considering this deal vs the GoPro website but am curious about the disadvantages, if any. I don't want any surprise and idk if the subscription service is even worth it for casual usage.

I just pulled the trigger on the Gopro.com deal, and it should be delivered in the next day or so. The difference for me was the subscription. Also, as of 9/7/2022, the gopro.com deal went up by $15. The subscription is still worth $50. The kicker for the subscription is that it does have unlimited cloud storage, and it stores photos and videos at it's original resolution....that's a game changer. As someone pointed out, that in my calculation I added the cost of two batteries (instead of one), so between that and the gopro.com price increase.....with the current gopro.com deal and buy an extra battery...you're at 389.
The GoPro 349 deal is "dead" but since their new 11 will be launched in just a few days, it will definitely be back. Probably they just raised the price in order to put it on "sale" : )
