Solid. Of course, I wish the screen were more like 300 nits, but when you're sub-$500 this is par for the course. IMHO a 14" 16:10 display (like this one has) is just about the perfect size. Good CPU power and RAM is sufficient. Nice school laptop for those who don't have theirs yet!

Too bad it doesn't support Thunderbolt. Would've been a good companion with an eGPU.

If you want a similar laptop with better screen/light weight, go for HP Aero 13. Battery life is shorter but you get 400 nuts screen.

Do you have the link? It seems to me that it has a glossy screen being a variant sold at Costco.

That MediaTek wifi card is a deal breaker for me. I bought this machine new from Dell and returned it. (I guess I wasn't the only one) Somewhat overlooked, as it is usually a non issue, a laptop lives and dies on it's wireless performance.

Specifically, it would take 3 minutes to get running internet after waking from sleep. Upload speeds were a 10th of what my cellphone was getting. Constantly dropping connection. Could've been a dud though. Just my experience.

But... for another $20-30 you can get a decent wifi card. 🤔

Yep, should work great! I graduated in 2020 and was rocking a Yoga 2 Pro with an 4th gen i7, 8gb of RAM and a 256gb HD for the full 4 years lol. Not exactly cutting edge although that QHD screen was nice.
