It is slick compared to the current prices available. An expired deal really doesn't matter much.
The expired deal is only 2 months ago, I don't get why people would buy laptops at these bad prices.
Compared to current prices available, there are better buys:
asus tuf for $1000 with 12650h and 3060 105w on slickdeals
gigabyte a5 k1 for $1050 with 5800h and 3060 130w on amazon
gigabyte aorus for $1250 with 12700h and 3070 130w on slickdeals

Because specs aren't everything. Cooling, build quality, screen resolution and refresh rates..etc play a big part in price VS performance.

Lenovo is higher quality than any of those machines.

Sure I know it plays a part, but still, this one only have 5600h (6 cores), bad screen (45% ntsc color gamut), and only 8gb ram. It deserves to be cheaper than the competition when there's so much compromise in the specs department.
The laptop market prices as a whole is objectively bad for now because nvidia has stated the oversupply of the 30 series GPU, plus in less than 20 days the ethereum will move to proof of stake, where miners will flood the market with used GPU, driving prices down even more. When GPU gets so cheap, demand for gaming laptops like this will lessen because many potential buyer will be interested to build a pc instead, causing a drop in price as well on the laptop side.
If you need a laptop now, the gigabyte aorus for $1250 is the only decent deal i see, where the cpu is great, the price is on par with usual deal prices, and the build quality aren't that far off legion as aorus is the premium tier of gigabyte.
