what the heck ... why isn't this on the front page? this is the lowest it's been!
the dell gets the perhaps unnoticeable edge for competitive gaming but this monitor has much better blacks. this should be front page asap , someone post this!
the s2716dgr is one of the most miserable ips panels ever made. The 'blacks' are so bad your mother might say whats wrong with your computer. However, it's actual pixel response time in low contrast situations is phenominal. It's the perfect example a 60hz monitor that might be better to game on than alot of the 165hz monitors out there, because on-screen motion basically creates ZERO blur! zero 'pixel lag'!
Any way s2721dgf by a very long shot! 165hz vs 60hz- better general input lag, more frames per second and a great pixel response to take advantage of them.

IMO, spend $25 more and get the HP 34" Ultrawide. I have this Dell and the HP, and on non-scientific observation, the color accuracy is on the HP same level. Only complaints on the HP is the lack of built-in USB Hub and controls on the back of the monitor. There are some other bells and whistles with the Dell since it has Freesync Premium Pro, but IMO most of that is marketing mumbojumbo.

Not everyone likes curved screens.. i skipped otherwise excellent odyssey line of monitors simply due to this reason
I was also wondering about this. Saw this deal a few days ago and had two of the open box-excellent sitting in my cart when I saw this Dell monitor. Would love to hear from someone who's used both as to which is better.
Should I get a 4K 165 hz or 1440 165hz? I know I definitely want 27". Is it supposed to be used for gaming purposes. I will be buying either a 3070 TI for 3080 graphics card very soon

The S2716dgr is actually a TN panel.
I've owned both and while the TN panel is very fast, it is also very weak. Color banding is atrocious. As soon as you get a little off axis, kiss the colors goodbye.
