FE MSRP for a partner card. Great. Too bad it's not gotten down to the 3060/3060 Ti yet.

Barely, certainly not for the original price of $630. You may get slightly better temperatures/noise in your case but max difference of 1-3fps between different models of the same class. You would be crazy to buy this at its original price rather than the 3080 fe assuming there was stock.

If you cant hold out for next gen, I would take this over the FE but its not noticeably better imo.

I love these made up numbers. "These will be free after rebate on the first full moon in November".

No they won't.

The oversupply they are worried about are in the 3080 and 3090s. These may slide to 399 but I best they don't go below that.

The 3080 at 499 will be the interesting prediction for me.

$349-$399 for 3080 will be more interesting to me. Otherwise, I will be holding until i see more 4xxx information.

Oh I agree, but at that point I don't think they're going to market that low. Not dissimilar to how AMD and Intel don't mark down their previous processors, there's always a limit. Even though the 5600x could blow away the 2600, they were still priced the same for years

I'm more than happy to buy it for 399. who knows what's going to happen. It really seems like they're going to paper lunch the new ones though just to keep the old ones selling through it slightly lower prices.

Inflation and overstocking of new and use cards will sweeten the price.

Stuff like this are just not necessities for 99% of people. Rising prices on things people actually need on a daily basis, like food, gas, electric means 'extras' are being cut back.

I definitely see these going down further, to $189? Probably not. $350 or $400, likely.

This or 3070 ti FE?
3070 ti but wait for it to go on sale. I've seen it for $450 for a non-FE version. Even for $500 the ti is definitely worth it over this, though it's not hugely better.
