Some people don't want to drop a rusty grill in the dump every couple of years. I got my Weber for $250 used, have had it for 9 years now, and I think it's at least 15 years old. Not a spec of rust and I can still buy parts for repairs, if needed. New stuff might not be quite the same quality, but they were worth it in the past.

Not to mention it has a much more even cook than the previous cheap charbroil grill we had.

I have been watching for these. I went to Target today and snagged one for $200. Used my target card and got and extra $10 off. As an FYI, brickseek said they were out locally. They were wrong. Thank you for the heads up.

Same here. Brickseek and Target App both showed OOS but the store actually have their last one on the shelf. They haven't even covered the original 399 price with the yellow sales tag. A staff was nice enough to help ring it up and confirm the 50% off.

some people just like to thread crap. I buy weber because they are quality tools. I got my crimson performer for $80 and it replaced my black performer that i bought used for like $10 and sold for $200. my summit kamado gets the most use, but the performer is a work horse. i bought the jumbo joe (referenced in the thread the OP noted) for camping, etc.

My 18" kettle is probably 8 yrs old. Gets used a couple times a week. Sits out in the rain, baking sun, etc. Zero rust, etc.
I had a grease fire from not doing maintenance in my Weber spirit gas grill that actually warped the bottom where the grease pan wouldn't slide in or out. Weber sent me a brand new bottom half of the grill (firebox) for FREE.
I lost the little screw on cap over the battery on the igniter on the spirit. I called to see if I could buy another cap. They said they don't sell just the cap and sent me an entirely new igniter for FREE

Btw...I got the 18" kettle for like $99 from a deal posted here 😂😂😂

The traveler grill is worth it at full price and super worth it if you can find at this price. I got it mainly for camping and RVing but find myself using it at home quite often too. Smallish grill area is the only reason I don't use it all the time at home. But it cooks very well and evenly. Still waiting for a full size Weber deal as this one and the 18" kettle have sold me on the brand. So I don't think it's about being a fan boy but more about being a fan of a solid product and brand.
