Tempting, but unlock policy pretty sucks. In this case, I interpret the phone will be locked for 24 months - a huge hassle if you want to travel internationally without paying for their crazy high roaming fee.

Sucks for all the people that jumped on the iPhone SE deal. This is a much better value with mmWave, bigger battery, and better cameras.

Yep, which is very expensive if compared to buying an eSIM (only doable if you have an unlocked eSIM capable phone).

If I port in from google voice, can I just swap the SIM card and put the new one in a drawer for 2 years?
Yes, but GV ports take up to 3 days.

For people that recently took advantage of the free Pixel 6a from XM, this is a good deal since you're already committed to 24 months so what's another month for a free iPhone 12 that can get good trade in value later.

I have 4 lines from $200 port in deal. SO now paying 15 a month by the gig, so I can just add the 5th line as long as I keep it for 24 months it is still going to be 15? Amex phone benefit and the $200 promos make it a no brainer to port lines in and out as needed. Going to port 2 lines out to metro soon, does it affect the Xfinity ability to open new lines later?

One advantage of iPhoe SE 5G:

iPhone SE 5G: A15 Bionic
iPhone 12 Mini: A14 Bionic

The iPhone 12 mini is a better deal (Face-ID and bigger OLED screen).

+ applicable sales tax based on $629 for phone purchase
+ monthly tax for the new line

Dunno what the reset timeline is for XM in regards to port out but based on past experience, I was able to add more line to the my account's allowance of 5 lines after porting out a month later.

Don't forget to check your Xfinity Rewards prior to purchasing. For example, I have two rewards available now: "Earn $100 for adding a line — up to 5 lines" and "$100 back on an eligible Xfinity Mobile phone purchase." This could help really sweeten the deal.

This might be a stupid question, but can you get this free phone if you just have an internet package with Xfinity? Or do you have to set up a new package that includes phone to get this 12 mini free?

yes as long as the phone you're putting the sim card in is not locked.

no, you have to port in a number from another phone provider.

yes still just $15 but you have to pay the monthly regulatory fees for the new line, which is just a few bucks.

Sorry my questions was poorly worded. My question actually was, if I port-in a number from a different network and then can I use my existing Xfinity number on the new phone ? Thank you.
