Switch 2, whenever that comes out needs 3 things:
1. Boost in graphics/processing typical of new generations of a system.
2. Latest versions of internet capability/Bluetooth
3. Upgraded joycons
Screen on the OLED is fantastic and I personally love how clean the interface is with the lack of bloatware. Obviously any improvements to battery are welcome but it's hardly a detriment.

For everyone else I'd like to point out that every pawn shop I've been in in the past couple months has been overrun with used Switches. Yesterday in one shop I saw a Switch OLED for $180 among 10 other standard and Lites at various prices. Obviously that price for an OLED is an outlier but it does point to these places giving less money to people for them because they have a ton of them. I'm only one person in my own part of the world but from what I'm seeing unless you really want a special edition now is a great time to check out the used market before buying new.
And I'd argue for Nintendo it would be a great time phase out the standard Switch and drop the OLED down to the $299 slot. And idk maybe include the games with these special editions at their beloved $359 price. Bundle the Lites with an older game at the current price or even better $179.

The Mariokart Black Friday bundle still reigns supreme as it remains MSRP but includes a digital copy of the game (which people still complain about despite it being freely included)

BTW, FedEx and DHL are the ones you need to worry about. USPS (not around election time) and UPS are still pretty solid.
But the Switch was still a bundle of compromises back in 2017, it showed it age on launch day and the OLED was merely lipstick on a pig. In 2022 I cannot believe anyone still considers this current tech, shows how much marketing hype and branding play a role in perception. The game selection is a joke of ports from the 80's - 90's, upscaled Wii U games, or 10 year old games pulled from other systems / PC. Either way expect to spend $40-60 on those or fill up on shovel-wear from the online store.
BTW, FedEx and DHL are the ones you need to worry about. USPS (not around election time) and UPS are still pretty solid.
UPS is almost always a business day late on anything I've had shipped with them. So for something expected Saturday, that means not getting what you ordered until Monday. But they've never lost anything in my experience.
USPS is usually always late, but the worst part is their tracking just.. stops tracking.
