The notes say if you have a Sirius radio Stern is standard, but not if you have an XM or SiriusXM radio.

I think my car is XM, but I can't stand Stern anyway.

I have had a SXM subscription in my vehicle for 8 years, never an issue receiving annual retention offers of around $5 per month, for 12 months, which included Howard Stern. My plan expires in mid-September, cancelled when the retention agent was unwilling/unable to do better than the OP's plan. Will allow the current plan to lapse, see if SXM will sweeten the pot.

This has streaming. What it lacks from the Platinum Plan is Howard Stern, Personalized Pandora stations, Stitcher premium podcasts, and some video content.

I logged into my account. I have a platinum subscription for a single car plus streaming. Total cost is $15.52 per month or $186/year.
The deal posted here is much better and lasts for 2 years... However, since I am an existing customer, it seems I don't qualify. (Current Deal Expires in Dec)
Any tricks to getting this offering?

What Amex offer are you referring to?
AMEX Platinum offers $20 month credit for several listed "streaming" services including Audible, SiriusXM, I think Hulu/Disney, and some others. This is a "travel" card with a hefty annual fee. If you aren't using almost all the perks and/or a road warrior this might not be the right card for you. It also covers my Walmart+ monthly charge. Wally+ is going to add Paramount streaming soon. Soon being undefined at this time.

OK, so my account (paying $6 a month for mid level),, it starts billing me full price starting on the 13th....

So, can I get into this if I just call and cancel service ? Then try again ?

Also, My car just got totaled, if I use just streaming, is it any cheaper ?

UPDATE

Sirius retention called ME 9 days before the subscription was about to expire, offering to extend the current contract for another 12 months: Music and Entertainment (including Howard) for a total of $71.XX per month. Also includes mobile app access, Google home, Roku TV. Jumped on it.

Howard jumped the shark about 15 years ago.

I will never give this company another penny. The hoops they try to make you jump through to cancel, and then the barrage of calls from different numbers to try to get you to sign up again. I remember calling to have them add me from their do not call list (which was an option through their automated system). They literally will direct you to a human and tried putting me on hold due to high call volume. I then realized I could opt out through my online account without issue.

I enjoyed Howard Stern, but usually if I'm driving then I am listening to Spotify anyways.

You gotta call and get supervisor on phone. And I can't believe you are paying $186. Wow. I pay $60 all in for your same plan each year. You gotta call and haggle. Takes less than 15 minutes.

For the past 5 years probably, I have had 12 months for $60 but last year it changed and didn't include NFL. I called and told them that was basically all I listened too but wasnt willing to pay more than that. They switched me to the $5 (plus taxes) for 12 months which included all the channels and streaming. That ended last month and I noticed they charged me regular price. I did the chat online and told them i wanted to cancel, that I didnt use it enough to justify the price and they immediately offered me the $5 per month again for 12 months and it still includes all the channels including Stern, NFL and streaming.
How were you able to do the chat online? Literally every single time I go to their Contact Us page, the "Chat Now" button is greyed out.

Their business model is weird. They never offer Howard Stern with these discounted plans. Even us most hardcore old HS fans are pretty meh about his show. They could've leveraged HS Show to get us hooked on some other stations, who knows, HS fans might get into some other shows of theirs. Almost no one is that excited about Howard anymore. They've ran it into the ground and have no must have anything in the near future.

I like the programming but the satelite streaming quality is terrible. If it was higher bit rate I'd be more willing to pay.

I don't know if it is still available, but I got in an an offer a year or two ago for $72 a year ($1 more per month) and it auto renews at the same price. No call to retention people needed. A slightly higher price but worth it to me to not have that headache anymore.
