These are pretty slick looking backpacks for a decent deal.

It's almost like they are a slick deal...

How does Columbia's 3D EVA mesh compare to something like an Osprey that has the separate mesh standoff in terms of sweaty backs hiking? I'm thinking about the Max Trail backpack.

Have the same issue. Answer: as big as possible.

Back when I was in middle school everyone's backpack looked like luggage.

Crazy how it still seems to be the case. Why haven't just switched everything to tablets and laptops?

Guess book $$$ money ain't going to print itself.

Just FYI... sale items are an additional 20% off AND you get free shipping if you join the club (free to join). I ended up getting the Tandem Trail backpack for $28+change before tax. Sweet deal. Thanks OP!

I saw two tiers of items. One full price and another discounted row of colorways below. Only the discounted colorways are on sale, not everything.

A few reviews mention that the lower priced ones are smaller than expected. Apparently, 18L is not enough for school, maybe enough for a light hike to hold a snack, water, and jacket

Go with osprey . I use that every weekend with 3l osprey water bladder and is amazing ! Really kept sweat off the backpack

These are good for kids and maybe a side gym bag. I bought a 25L and it still felt tiny. The Columbia material is thin and stiff, and while I'm no huge guy the straps felt too close together. Tried doing one strap and it just falls to one side like a briefcase bag.
